I'm still here
Oh, LiveJournal, how I've neglected you. I've been keeping up with my Friends page, but I haven't posted for so long. There's no one specific reason--I've just been busy, you know. I don't really have time right now to catch you up on everything--the bad movies, the music trivia, the Thanksgiving weekend, the shows, the cats, et cetera. I wish I did. Maybe I'll get to some of that soon.

Know this: if I had a dog, he or she would get the Michael Vick Chew Toy for Christmas.

And then there's this:

Goodbye and Good Riddance (Paul Waldman, American Prospect): "Goodbye, we can say at last, to the most powerful man in the world being such a ridiculous buffoon, incapable of stringing together two coherent sentences. Goodbye to cringing with dread every time our president steps onto the world stage, sure he'll say or do something to embarrass us all. Goodbye to being represented by a man who embodies everything our enemies want the people of the world to believe about America--that we are ignorant, cruel, and only care about foreign countries when we decide to stomp on them. Goodbye to his giggle, and his shoulder shake, and his nicknames. Goodbye to a president who talks to us like we're a nation of fourth-graders."

When Did Experience Become a Flaw? (Jamison Foser, Media Matters)

Depression Economics Returns (Paul Krugman, New York Times): "When depression economics prevails, the usual rules of economic policy no longer apply: virtue becomes vice, caution is risky and prudence is folly."

The Moose Stops Here (Frank Rich, New York Times): "Election junkies in acute withdrawal need suffer no longer. Though the exciting Obama-McCain race is over, the cockfight among the losers has only just begun. The conservative crackup may be ugly, but as entertainment, it’s two thumbs up!"

GOP Not Playing "Minnesota Nice" with Franken (Joe Conason, Salon): "Republicans have flooded the airwaves with baseless propaganda to discredit the Coleman-Franken recount in advance."

Judge Dismissed Senator Coleman's Lawsuit Against Al Franken, Which Featured CREW's "Most Corrupt" Report (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington)

Ron Paul Decries Looming New World Order Dictatorship Under Obama (Crooks and Liars)

Rather’s Lawsuit Shows Role of G.O.P. in Inquiry (New York Times)

Sonar Over Whales (Editorial, New York Times): "The Supreme Court showed troubling deference to the views of the military, deciding to lift two restrictions on the
Navy's use of sonar."
